Welcome to the web presence of Ecumenical Christian Welfare We are a small but vibrant and committed charity that works to relieving the immediate and longer term housing needs of the most marginalised people within our Society. We are a Christian charity, open to all people, regardless of religion, beliefs or other barrier. You will find us working with the homeless, those with mental health issues, recently released prisoners, those special people with special needs. We are a totally unfunded organisation and rely on the good will of people like you to keep us going. For more information about our work, and how you can help, please look around our site. Thank you for visiting our site - we hope to see you back soon . New Service opened We are pleased to announce that we have established "Casa St. Rita" in the Sydney suburb of Chatswood. Providing lodgings for up to 20 people, Casa St. Rita is the third of our accommodation units. Watch this space for further details. New OP-Shop opened We are blessed to announce that Ecumenical Christian Ministries (us) have joined with Metropolitan Community Church Welfare Services for the establishment of an Opportunity Shop (Good Will store). Located in the western suburbs of Sydney, it is our hope to reach out to the needy of western Syndey and provide a place of welcome and respite for those who need "an ear to bend". The shop is Open Monday to friday from 1000 to 1600 and Saturday morning from 1000 to 1400. Please drop by and see us soon. |
